The Macon County Health Department announces 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the county. One was confirmed on Monday October 12th, four were confirmed on Tuesday October 13th and five were confirmed on Wednesday October 14th. Currently, we have 31 active cases in the community.
New cases include three females under the age of 19, one female age 20-29, one male age 40-49, one male age 50-59, two males age 60-69, one female age 70-79 and one male age 70-79.
Eight of the new cases were community spread, one was a household contact to a previously reported positive and one was contracted out of county.
At the time of this release, the following reflects COVID-19 in Macon County –
- 31 active positive cases (in isolation)
- 2 hospitalized (included in the active case count)
- 230 released from isolation
- 261 total positive cases
